Kate has worked in acute Hospitals, private practice and the NHS as a Nurse and Infection Control specialist since 1999, before moving to supporting large social care Trusts. She has extensive experience in quality improvement and governance. 

In 2024 Kate founded Langton's as a resource for small health care providers. 

Unfortunately, the reality for many health care services, is that requirements and demands placed on them are not consistent and there is always a point in a service’s history where a little extra help, at the right time can make a huge impact. Sometimes this help can prevent a service from closing. Though all services must meet this challenge, it’s the small providers who are disproportionally disadvantaged by this flow.  

Langton's was created to even the playing field with the big Trusts, providing the expertise when needed.
